Dr. Hazem Moharram recognized early on that the future lies in diagnostic radiology, and that this future depends on several factors related to systems, technologies, equipment, and individuals, forming an integrated system that would make the realization of this vision possible. The young doctor envisioned a future where diagnostic standards in Egypt could rival the best global standards. As Dr. Tarek Moharram mentioned in an interview, this vision was about “creating what resembles an oasis for providing exceptional healthcare services in the country, on par with or even exceeding those available in the United States or Europe.”
In pursuit of this vision, Dr. Hazem Moharram made every effort to provide radiology equipment and other diagnostic technologies that would allow healthcare services to be delivered with the highest quality and in accordance with the latest specifications and standards. These devices and technologies would not have met the required services without having academically and practically qualified individuals, which he focused on when forming his team. Dr. Hazem Moharram was convinced that continuous development was essential, aiming to reach a point where the equipment, technologies, and facilities at Nile Radiology and Lab Center would either match or even surpass those of the most advanced countries in some aspects.
This dream became a reality three decades ago with the establishment of the first branch of Nile Radiology and Lab Center in the Maadi area. What began as a single facility has grown into a network of more than 20 branches. Efforts continue to expand these branches, equip them with appropriate devices and capabilities, increase the geographic coverage of the center, and improve the quality of services provided.
